فَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَنْ تُقَاوِمُ قُوَّتُهُ دَاءَهُ فَتَقْهَرُهُ وَيَكُونُ السُّلْطَانُ لِلْقُوَّةِ
Among people are those whose strength resists their disease; it overcomes the illness, and power belongs to strength.
السُّلْطَانُ — the authority. A definite noun, the subject of the 'to be' verb, naming the upper hand or mastery. With 'al-' it points to the decisive power being discussed.
