If he is content with less than satiety, his body is well-nourished, and his soul and heart are in good condition.
اكْتَفَى — he was content. A past-tense reflexive-pattern verb meaning 'was content/made do', carrying its own subject 'he'. After the conditional word it reads in a general present sense; the pattern stresses doing the action for oneself.
