Arabic vocabulary
How to say “causing” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَقَدْ ضَمَّ الْأَبُ إِلَى الْتَسَبُّبِ فِي إِيجَادِهِ مَحَبَّتَهُ بَعْدَ وُجُودِهِ،
And indeed, the father added to the causing of his coming into being his love after his coming into existence.
الْتَسَبُّبِ — the causing. This is a verbal noun, 'the causing / being-the-means', carrying al-, and after the 'to / onto' it sits in the genitive. Arabic uses such action-nouns where English would say 'his causing'. It is the first of the father's contributions, with love added on top of it.
