How to say “chained” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
And their saying: 'The best of matters is its middle' is mentioned in His saying: 'And do not make your hand chained to your neck, nor open it completely.'
مَغْلُولَةً — chained. This is 'chained, shackled', a passive-pattern description, the second object of 'make': do not make your hand chained. It takes the accusative as that second object and means the hand undergoing being bound. The image is of stinginess.
