How to say “matters” in Arabic, with pronunciation and real example sentences from OpenArabic texts.
وإن كان مما لا يدرك بالاجتهاد كالأمور التي طريقها النقل وتفسير الألفاظ اللغوية فلا يجوز الكلام فيه إلا بنقل صحيح من جهة المعتمدين من أهله
And if it is something not reachable through juristic effort, like matters whose path is transmission and the explanation of linguistic expressions, then speaking on it is not allowed except with authentic transmission from reliable authorities.
كَالأُمُورِ — like matters. The 'ka-' opens examples again — 'such as the matters...'. The broken plural 'matters' will be narrowed by the relative clause after it: matters whose only road is transmission.

وَأُمُورٌ — and matters. This is wa- (and) on an indefinite plural noun, 'and matters', a second subject joined to the striking. It keeps the indefinite, subject-style form parallel to the noun before it.

"The wise person sees, with the light of his thought, the consequences of matters before they occur. He avoids what he fears will have a bad outcome, and hastens toward what he hopes will have a good outcome."
الْأُمُورِ — of matters. The completing half of 'consequences of matters', so it carries the possessive case and the 'the' that defines the phrase. Set directly beside the first noun with no word for 'of', it names what the consequences belong to.

And their saying: 'The best of matters is its middle' is mentioned in His saying: 'And do not make your hand chained to your neck, nor open it completely.'
الْأُمُورِ — of the matters. This is 'the matters, affairs', a definite plural with 'al-', the owned second term after 'best of', so it takes the genitive ending. It completes 'the best of the matters'. The plural is built into the word's shape.
