اعْلَمْ أَنَّ مُطْلَقَ الْهَوَى يَدْعُو إِلَى اللَّذَّةِ الْحَاضِرَةِ مِنْ غَيْرِ فِكْرٍ فِي عَاقِبَةٍ
Know that unchecked desire calls towards immediate pleasure without considering the consequences.
عَاقِبَةٍ — consequences. Indefinite and genitive after 'in', so 'any outcome'; the absence of 'the' keeps it general rather than pointing to one particular consequence.

عَاقِبَةٍ — consequences. Indefinite and genitive after 'towards' — 'any outcome at all', kept general by the missing 'the'.

until he is certain of safety from harm in the end.
الْعَاقِبَةِ — the end. Genitive after 'in'; the 'the' makes it 'the final upshot' — safety as things finally turn out.

And the dissolute scribes reach the pinnacle of theft, and their final outcome is disaster with beatings, confiscation, and poverty.
وَعَاقِبَةُ — and the final outcome. This is 'and' plus 'the outcome / end-result', heading a possessive — 'the outcome OF their affair'. It is the nominative subject of a new clause. As construct head it drops its own 'the' and leans on the owner to come.

عَاقِبَتُهَا — the consequence for it. This is 'outcome' with 'its' attached, 'its outcome', and it serves as what was made/placed, the thing the passive verb acts upon. The suffix points back to the community; the feminine 'its' agrees with that feminine noun, part of tracking the right owner.

The wise person is one who controls himself when angry, suppresses his rage, and recalls the consequences.
عَاقِبَةَ — the consequence of. This noun opens a possessive pair, 'the outcome of the matter', as the object of 'recalls' and so in the object form. It links straight onto the owning noun with no word for 'of'.

by thinking about the ugliness of his appearance when angry, and the bad consequences of what he does.
عَاقِبَةِ — consequences of. This noun is both the owner of the previous noun and the head of a further pairing, 'outcome of what issues from him', chaining nouns together. Its form marks it as governed within the possessive chain, with no word for 'of' anywhere.

Had he looked with insight, he would have known that safety lies in avoiding what is feared in its outcome.
عَاقِبَتُهُ — in its outcome. This is the subject of the passive 'is feared', the thing whose outcome causes dread, with -hu meaning 'its'. As the doer-slot of a passive verb it stands in the subject case; the 'its' ties the outcome to the feared matter.

عَاقِبَتِهِ — its outcome. The completing half of 'badness of its outcome', so it carries the possessive case, and the -hu means 'its', tying the outcome to the matter. Two possessive links stack here: the badness belongs to the outcome, the outcome to the matter.

So strive to break its desires, compel it to what pleases your Lord, and be patient with that, for the outcome is praiseworthy.
العَاقِبَةَ — the outcome. This is the subject of the 'indeed' clause but it stands in the object case because the emphatic particle governs it that way. With 'the' it is definite, 'the outcome', and the predicate that follows says it is praiseworthy.

الْعَاقِبَةَ — the ultimate outcome. A noun carrying 'the', 'the final outcome', sitting in the object-style ending forced by the preceding 'because'. Despite that ending it is the subject of the reason-clause 'the outcome is for piety'. The definiteness marks it as THE ultimate end.
