And with each dawn, renew the covenant: to be a bit more truthful today, a bit more compassionate, and to control my senses better.
الْيَوْمَ — today. 'al-' = 'the'; 'yawm' = 'day'; the '-a' ending gives 'today'.

If you want a remembrance that transforms your day, do not settle for a sound without meaning.
يَوْمَكَ — your day. 'your day' — 'yawm' with 'your' attached, the object of 'changes'. One word holds both the thing and its owner.

That is, He is able to return him to Himself on the Day of Resurrection, just as He is able to create him from a fluid of this nature.
يَوْمَ — on the Day of. A time noun 'day' that opens an 'of' chain with the next word: the Day of Resurrection. As the head of this possessive pairing it drops its own 'the' and is also set in the accusative as an adverb of time, 'on the day'.
