ثُمَّ قَطَعَ دَابِرَهُمْ وَأَبْطَلَ سُنَّتَهُمْ وَمَحَا آثَارَهُمْ وَجَوْرَهُمْ فَإِنَّ أُولَئِكَ لَمْ يَكُونُوا عَلَى شَيْءٍ مِمَّا ذُكِرَ
Then He completely cut them off, nullified their traditions, erased their traces and tyranny, for they were not upon anything of what was mentioned.
وَمَحَا — and erased. The wa- adds a third verb, past tense, 'and he erased', with its 'he' subject built in. Coordinated with the others, it continues the sequence of God's actions; the verb governs the following nouns as objects.
