How to say “etiquettes” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
لا يتأدبون بآداب الحديث، ولا يستفيقون من سكرة السماع
They do not observe the etiquettes of the Hadith, nor do they awaken from the intoxication of listening.
بِآدَابِ — the etiquettes of. The preposition bi- 'with/by' heading an action-noun that starts an 'of' pairing - 'with the manners of [the Hadith]'. The bi- governs the phrase into the genitive ('of') form and marks the standard they fail to keep. So it links the verb 'behave' to the code of conduct they ignore.
