Arabic vocabulary
How to say “fake bidding” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وفي رواية لا تحاسدوا، ولا تباغضوا، ولا تجسسوا، ولا تحسسوا ولا تناجشوا وكونوا عباد الله إخوانًا
And in a version: 'Do not envy, do not hate, do not spy, do not look for faults, do not artificially raise bids, and be, O servants of Allah, brothers.'
تَنَاجَشُوا — artificially raise bids. A plural mutual-pattern verb naming the trick of driving up a price with no intent to buy, with 'you all' in the form. The prohibition holds it in the jussive ending that marks it as something not to be done.
