How to say “falsehood” in Arabic, with pronunciation and real example sentences from OpenArabic texts.
وَلَك اللِّسَان مَعَ الوداد الْكَاذِب
And yours is only a tongue with false affection.
الْكَاذِبِ — false. An adjective trailing 'affection', definite and genitive to agree — 'the false [affection]'. The agreement marks it as describing the affection: lying, hollow love.
From: Overcoming Desire →قَالَ اِبْنُ صَيَّادٍ يَأْتِينِي صَادِقٌ وَكَاذِبٌ
Ibn Sayyad said, 'A truthful person and a liar come to me.'
وَكَاذِبٌ — and a liar. A noun joined to the previous one by the prefix wa-, which here simply pairs two like items in a list. The conjunction links two parallel subjects of the same verb, and the noun stays indefinite to match its partner, so the two are presented as an even, unspecified pair.
