فإن قيل فقد قال تعالى ﴿أَيَحْسَبُ الإِنْسَانُ أَلَّنْ نَجْمَعَ عِظَامَهُ بَلَى قَادِرِينَ عَلَى أَنْ نُسَوِّيَ بَنَانَهُ﴾
Then if it is said, Allah, the Exalted, stated: 'Does man think that We will not assemble his bones? Yes, We are able to proportion his fingertips.'
بَنَانَهُ — his fingertips. This noun with an attached possessive pronoun means 'his fingertips' and is the object of the shaping verb. The owner is glued onto the back of the noun in the usual Arabic way, with no separate word for 'his'.

And the second, which is more likely, is that restoring his fingertips refers to making them as they were after decay had dispersed them in the dust.
بَنَانِهِ — his fingertips. This noun with an attached possessive pronoun means 'his fingertips' and is owned by the verbal noun before it: 'the restoring of his fingertips'. The two nouns sit directly together to express 'of', and the owner is glued onto the back of this second noun.
