Arabic vocabulary
How to say “forgiveness” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَيَأْمُرُكُمْ بِالْفَحْشَاءِ وَاللَّهُ يَعِدُكُمْ مَغْفِرَةً مِنْهُ وَفَضْلًا
He urges you to immorality, while Allah promises you forgiveness from Him and bounty.
مَغْفِرَةً — forgiveness. The noun 'forgiveness', what God promises, so it is the direct object of the verb and takes the object (accusative) ending, shown by its double-mark tail. Left indefinite, it means 'forgiveness' in general, set against the 'poverty' Satan promised.
