How to say “urges you” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَيَأْمُرُكُمْ بِالْفَحْشَاءِ وَاللَّهُ يَعِدُكُمْ مَغْفِرَةً مِنْهُ وَفَضْلًا
He urges you to immorality, while Allah promises you forgiveness from Him and bounty.
وَيَأْمُرُكُمْ — and he urges you. Two pieces: wa- 'and', joining a second action of Satan, plus a present-tense verb 'commands/urges' with a plural 'you' object fused on the end. The wa- adds this verb in parallel to the previous 'promises', both having the same Satan as their unspoken subject.
