How to say “found” in Arabic, with pronunciation and real example sentences from OpenArabic texts.
وزخرفوه بعبارات موجودة في كلام العلماء قد نطقوا بها،
And they adorned it with phrases found in the speech of scholars who have uttered them.
مَوْجُودَةٍ — found. 'found, existing', a passive participle on 'phrases', genitive — ones to be found [elsewhere].
From: Misguided Methodology →أي إن كان نطقكم حقيقة وهو أمر موجود لا تمارون فيه ولا تشكون
Meaning, if your speech is a reality, which is something you do not dispute or doubt.
مَوْجُودٌ — existent. An adjective 'existent/present', describing 'something' and agreeing with it in being indefinite and in the same form, 'something existent'. The matching endings tie the description to that noun.
From: Proof in All Creation →قال لأني سمعت الله يقول ولم يكن له كفوا أحد فأردت أن أكون أنا ذلك الكفؤ إذا كان موجودًا
He said: Because I heard Allah say, '[Nor is there to Him any equivalent],' so I wanted to be that equivalent if it existed.
مَوْجُودًا — existing. A describing word 'existing' in the accusative -an because it completes 'if it was existing', the predicate of 'was'; that 'to be' verb gives its predicate the object-style ending.
From: Bedouin Manners →OpenArabic teaches words like مَوْجُود through real bilingual reading with native audio and spaced-repetition practice.
