If the heart were nourished with love, the gluttony of desires would depart from it.
عَنْهُ — from it. 'An (away from) fused with '-hu' (it) — departed 'from it', the heart. The 'an marks removal.

Narrated by Abu Huraira, may Allah be pleased with him:
عَنْهُ — from him. With 'was pleased', this 'an' is the fixed partner meaning 'pleased with', and 'him' is fused on. It closes the blessing: 'may God be pleased with him'.
