How to say “heart” in Arabic, with pronunciation and real example sentences from OpenArabic texts.
والأفضلُ أن تجمعَ اللفظَ والحضور تردِّد لا إلهَ إلا الله وأنت تفكّ قيودَ قلبِك من كلِّ معبودٍ باطلٍ صورة، مال، هوى
And it is better to combine the utterance and presence: you repeat 'None is worthy of worship except Allah' while freeing your heart from all false gods: images, wealth, desires.
قَلْبِكَ — your heart. 'your heart', genitive owner of 'the shackles', with 'your' attached. The chains belong to — bind — your own heart.

قَلْبَكَ — your heart. 'your heart', accusative as the object bound, with 'your' attached. The thing fastened to its Lord.

بِالْقَلْبِ — with the heart. 'Bi-' (with) fused with 'the heart', genitive — 'with the heart'. The 'bi-' marks the instrument: devotion of the heart.

قَلْبُهُ — his heart. The thing that becomes assured, 'his heart', with the owner attached as a suffix pointing back to the same believer. As the doer it carries the subject ending.
