Arabic vocabulary
How to say “give” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَتُؤْتِيَ الزَّكَاةَ، وَتَصُومَ رَمَضَانَ، وَتَحُجَّ الْبَيْتَ إنْ اسْتَطَعْت إلَيْهِ سَبِيلًا
And give the obligatory charity, fast during Ramadan, and perform the pilgrimage to the House if you are able to find a way to it.
وَتُؤْتِيَ — and give. A present-tense verb 'and you give' carried by an 'and' that links it to the earlier duties; the chain keeps it in the subjunctive, visible in its final vowel. The 'you' doer lives inside the verb. It continues the same enumerated list of obligations begun in the previous sentence.
