How to say “his effort” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
يَصُدُّ عَنْ سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَيَبْغِيهَا جُهْدُهُ عَوْجًا وَتَحْرِيفًا
He turns people away from the way of God and, by his effort, seeks to bend and distort it.
جُهْدُهُ — his effort. A noun with -hu ('his') fused to its end, 'his effort', here in the accusative as an adverbial of degree: he seeks it 'his utmost'. The attached pronoun ties the effort to him, and the case marks how hard he tries.
