Arabic vocabulary
How to say “his toil” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَيَا شِدَّةَ الْحَسْرَةِ عِنْدَمَا يُعَايِنُ الْمُبْطِلُ سَعْيَهُ وَكَدَّهُ هَبَاءً مَنْثُورًا،
O, what intense regret when the one whose efforts are nullified witnesses his striving and his toil scattered like dust.
وَكَدَّهُ — and his toil. The wa- coordinates this with the previous object, so 'his striving and his toil' run in parallel as twin objects of 'sees'. The noun carries -hu ('his') as owner and matches the accusative role. The single prefixed 'and' keeps the pair in step.
