How to say “in summer” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
قَالَ كَانَتْ لَا تَنْقَطِعُ عَنْهُمْ جُنَّتُهُمْ شِتَاءً وَلَا صَيْفًا
He said, their gardens never failed them, neither in winter nor in summer.
صَيْفًا — in summer. A noun used adverbially for time, 'in summer', in the object-style ending that marks a noun as a 'when' without any preposition. It mirrors the earlier 'in winter', so the bare ending alone carries the 'in', and the pair frames the gardens' bounty as constant across both seasons.
