How to say “indicate” in Arabic, with pronunciation and real example sentences from OpenArabic texts.

His love is by Allah the essence of Hanifiyyah, and his hatred indicates wickedness of heart.
يَدُلُّ — it indicates. A doubled-root verb, its last two identical consonants fused under a doubling mark, meaning 'points to, is evidence of'. It takes its target with the preposition 'on' that follows, and its subject 'it' (the hatred) is built in.

يَدُلَّ — to guide. A present-tense verb in the subjunctive ending required by the 'that' before it, so it reads as 'to guide'. The 'he' doer is inside the form; the subjunctive shape is the audible mark that this action is the content of the duty, not a free-standing event.

And each of these is a sign of the signs of Allah, the Exalted, indicating His Lordship.
الدَّالَّةُ — indicating. An active participle 'the one indicating', a describing word built from a verb, attached to the signs. It agrees with them in definiteness, taking its own 'the', and links them to what they point to.
