شَدِيدُ سَوَادِ الشَّعْرِ، لَا يُرَى عَلَيْهِ أَثَرُ السَّفَرِ، وَلَا يَعْرِفُهُ مِنَّا أَحَدٌ
His hair is intensely black; he shows no sign of travel, and none of us recognizes him.
شَدِيدُ — intense. An adjective, 'intense', describing the man again and heading an 'of' pairing with 'blackness'. It opens the parallel description of his hair, balancing the earlier 'intense of whiteness'.
