Arabic vocabulary
وَحْدِهِ is how you say “its alone” in Arabic. Hear it pronounced and see it used in a real example sentence from classical texts below.
رَأَى الْعُلَمَاءُ وَالْأَئِمَّةُ النُجَبَاءُ أَنَّ الاِعْتِمَادَ عَلَى الْحِفْظِ وَحْدِهِ لَا يَكْفِي،
The scholars and the eminent imams concluded that relying on memorization alone is not sufficient.
وَحْدِهِ — its alone. A fixed adverbial noun 'by itself / alone', built on a base for 'aloneness' with '-hi' = 'its' attached, pointing back to 'memorisation'. The suffix tracks that earlier noun, so the sense is 'memorisation taken on its own', which is what falls short.
