How to say “know” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
ومن نسي صلاةً من الخمسِ ولم يدرِ عينَها، لزِمَه الإتيانُ بجميعِ الخمسِ،
If someone forgets one of the five prayers and does not know which, they must perform all five.
يَدْرِ — know. Present in shape but pulled into the past and clipped by 'lam' — note the bare end (the weak final letter drops). 'He did not know.' Its object, 'which one,' follows.
