How to say “learn” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وأما إذا رأيناه يتعلم فهل يمنع فيه وجهان
As for if we see him learning, should we prevent him? There are two views.
يَتَعَلَّمُ — he learns. A Form V verb — the 'do-to-oneself' pattern — so 'he learns / teaches himself.' After 'we see him' it works as the second object: what we catch him doing. Present tense pictures it in progress.
