How to say “then/should” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وأما إذا رأيناه يتعلم فهل يمنع فيه وجهان
As for if we see him learning, should we prevent him? There are two views.
فَهَلْ — should we. The 'fa-' brings the comment on the fronted case, and the question-marker makes it a yes/no question: 'then is he prevented?'. The scenario is set; now the legal question is raised.
