Arabic vocabulary
How to say “liar” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسِلْمِ أَمَّا إِنَّهُ قَدْ صَدَقَكَ وَهُوَ كَذُوبٌ،
The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: Know that he has indeed told you the truth, yet he is a liar.
كَذُوبٌ — a liar. An intensive noun-shape meaning a habitual liar, far stronger than a one-off; the pattern itself signals 'great/persistent liar'. It serves as the statement made about the 'he' pronoun before it, completing the contrast 'he is a liar'.
