How to say “limbs” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَعَن أبي هُرَيْرَة قَالَ الْقلب ملك والأعضاء جُنُوده
And concerning Abu Huraira, he said, 'The heart is a king and the limbs are its soldiers.'
الأَعْضَاءُ — the limbs. Definite plural, 'the limbs', the subject of the next equational clause. The 'the' marks the known set of bodily members; it pairs with 'its soldiers' to complete the image.
