Arabic vocabulary
How to say “meeting them” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَإِذَا لِقَاءُهُمْ فَأَخْفِضْ لَهُمْ جَنَاحَكَ وَذَلِّلْ لَهُمْ قَلْبَكَ وَلِسَانَكَ
So when you meet them, then lower your wing for them and humble your heart and your tongue toward them.
لِقَاءُهُمْ — meeting them. This is a verbal noun (the action named as a thing) with -hum, the 'them' object, fused to its end, so one word means 'meeting them'. Under the 'when' frame it stands in for a whole timed clause, 'when you meet them'. So an action is packaged as a noun here, with its object built in.
