وَكُنْتُ لَا أَغْبِقُ قِبَلَهُمَا أَهْلًا وَلَا مَالًا،
And I would not leave them without household provisions or money.
مَالًا — money. An indefinite noun taking the object-style ending, standing as the second thing under the 'neither... nor'. Parallel to its partner, it carries the matching indefinite shape and is held under the same denial.

And if it is said to you that a poor man went to a land and gained money, then believe it.
مالًا — money. A noun, 'money', serving as the direct object of the gaining, in the accusative that such an object takes. It names what he acquired. Its case marks its role as the thing gained.

مالًا — in wealth. An indefinite noun in the accusative of respect, specifying the area of the second superlative: most 'in wealth'. As before, this accusative narrows 'the most of them' to the precise respect in which she leads.
