How to say “Muadh” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَقَالَ يَا معَاذ أَتَدْرِي مَا حق الله على الْعباد
So he said, 'O Muadh, do you know what is Allah's right upon the servants?'
مُعَاذُ — Muadh. This is the name spoken to in direct address right after the call particle. A noun called on this way takes a plain undoubled ending rather than the usual subject ending, which is how Arabic marks someone as the one being addressed.
