How to say “negligence” in Arabic, with pronunciation and real example sentences from OpenArabic texts.
فمن كان خطؤه لتفريطه فيما يجب عليه من اتباع القرآن والإيمان مثلا،
Whoever errs due to negligence in following the Qur'an and faith, for example,
لِتَفْرِيطِهِ — due to his negligence. 'because of his falling-short' — 'li' (of cause) plus 'tafrit' plus 'his'; the predicate-cause; form-II verbal noun 'negligence'.
From: Judging by Revelation →وَأَنْ يُسَامِحَنَا فِي تَقْصِيرِنَا وَتَفْرِيطِنَا،
and that He forgive us for our shortcomings and carelessness,
وَتَفْرِيطِنَا — and our carelessness. A noun fronted by 'wa-' (and) and closed by '-na' (our), so one word holds connector, noun, and possessor. The 'wa-' pairs it with the shortcomings just named, and the suffix marks the carelessness too as the speaker's group's own.
