And it is said that "dafiq" is an active participle with the meaning of a passive, like their saying "sir katim" and "ʿīsha rāḍiya."
مَفْعُولٍ — a passive. The grammatical term 'passive participle' (the maf'ul form), in the genitive as the owned noun of 'with the meaning of a passive'. The whole point: a word shaped like a doer-noun can carry the sense of a done-to noun.
