اجْتنب من يعادي أهل الْكتاب وَالسّنة لِئَلَّا يعديك خسرانه
Avoid those who oppose the people of the Book and the Sunnah, lest their loss infect you.
أَهْلَ — the people of. 'Folk / people', the object of 'opposes', accusative ('-a'), and first term of an 'of' pairing — 'the people of the Book'. It owns the noun that follows.

The poor among the emigrants came to the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, and said: 'The wealthy have taken the highest ranks and everlasting blessings.'
أَهْلُ — the people. This is the subject of 'went off', nominative, heading a possessive — 'the people OF wealth', i.e. the well-off. As construct head it leans on the owner to come.
