How to say “point” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَالْقَصْدُ أَنَّ فِي ذِكْرِ هَذَا الرَّفِيقِ مَا يُزِيلُ وَحْشَةَ التَّفَرُّدِ،
And the point is that mentioning this companion removes the feeling of being alone.
وَالْقَصْدُ — and the point. The wa- resumes the author's own conclusion, 'and the point is...', returning from the parable to the lesson. The noun it carries is 'the aim/point', the topic the sentence will explain, marked definite and as subject. So the connector turns from story back to teaching.
