Arabic vocabulary
How to say “feeling of being alone” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَالْقَصْدُ أَنَّ فِي ذِكْرِ هَذَا الرَّفِيقِ مَا يُزِيلُ وَحْشَةَ التَّفَرُّدِ،
And the point is that mentioning this companion removes the feeling of being alone.
وَحْشَةَ — the feeling of being alone. This noun is the object of 'removes', in the object form, and it heads an 'of' pairing with 'solitude' next ('the unease of being alone'). Arabic compresses 'the desolation that comes from solitude' into this possessed noun. So it names what the remembrance lifts away.
