Arabic vocabulary
How to say “solitude” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَالْقَصْدُ أَنَّ فِي ذِكْرِ هَذَا الرَّفِيقِ مَا يُزِيلُ وَحْشَةَ التَّفَرُّدِ،
And the point is that mentioning this companion removes the feeling of being alone.
التَّفَرُّدِ — solitude. This definite verbal noun completes the 'of' pairing with 'unease' before it: 'the unease of solitude'. As the owned half it takes the genitive ending, its al- (assimilating into the sun letter) marking the specific state. The bare juxtaposition carries the 'of'.
