Arabic vocabulary
صَفَا is how you say “pure” in Arabic. Hear it pronounced and see it used in a real example sentence from classical texts below.
فكلما أكثر العبد من الذكر، صفا قلبه، واتضح له الحق
The more a servant remembers, the purer his heart becomes and the clearer the truth appears to him.
صَفَا — the purer it becomes. A past-tense verb opening the answering half of the scale, 'becomes pure'. It carries its own subject slot, which the next word then fills, and its past shape again reads as a general present under the correlation.
