How to say “resemble” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
لا يشبهه شئ من كلام الخلق ولا يقدر على مثله الخلق بأسرهم
Nothing from the speech of creation resembles it, nor can the entire creation produce anything like it.
يُشْبِهُهُ — he resembles it. The '-hu' on the end is the object 'it' — the Quran — while the doer, 'anything,' comes only after the verb. So the line builds toward 'nothing resembles it,' the verb reaching its subject at the next word.
