How to say “safety” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَعَادَ عَلَيْهِ بِالأَسْلَمِ مَا طَلَبَ مِنْهُ السَّلامَةَ،
So he returned to him with the safest thing he had requested for his safety.
السَّلامَةَ — safety. A noun made definite by al- ('safety') serving as the object of 'requested', which is why it carries the accusative ending. The accusative marks it as the thing sought, the goal the action was aimed at.
