How to say “saw” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
ابْنُ صَيَّادٍ فَرَآهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ مُضْطَجِعٌ،
The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, saw the son of Sayyad while he was lying down.
فَرَآهُ — so saw him. A past-tense 'saw' verb with its 'he' subject inside, fronted by fa- and ending in an attached 'him' pronoun as its object. The fa- carries the narration forward, while the suffix supplies whom he saw, so one word bundles connector, verb, subject and object.
