How to say “the one that leads” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
الْهِدَايَةُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ إِلَى طَرِيقِ الْجَنَّةِ، وَهُوَ الصِّرَاطُ الْمُوَصِّلُ إِلَيْهَا،
Guidance on the Day of Resurrection is to the path of Paradise, and it is the path that leads to it.
الْمُوَصِّلُ — the one that leads. An active participle ('the one that leads'), a noun-like form built off a verb to name the doer, here describing the path's function. It agrees with 'the path' in being definite, which ties the description firmly to that noun. Arabic builds such 'the X-ing one' descriptions off the verb itself.
