أَنَّ الَّذِيَ دَلَّ حَوَّاءَ عَلَى الْأَكْلِ مِنَ الشَّجَرَةِ هِيَ الْحَيَّةُ،
That the serpent was the one who led Eve to eat from the tree.
الْحَيَّةُ — the serpent. The definite predicate noun identified with the subject by the linking pronoun: 'is the serpent'. With 'al-' it is specific, and it carries the -u ending of the predicate in such an equational sentence, naming who did the leading.
