How to say “they mixed” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَهَذِهِ حَالُ أَكْثَرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ الَّذِينَ خَلَطُوا عَمَلًا صَالِحًا وَآخَرَ سَيِّئًا
And this is the condition of most believers, who mix a good deed with a bad one.
خَلَطُوا — they mixed. A past-tense verb in the 'they' form, with the plural doer built into its ending, so no separate 'they' word is needed. It takes the deeds that follow as its objects: they blended good action with bad.
