Arabic vocabulary
How to say “to tell him” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَجِئْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَجَعَلْتُ أُخْبِرُهُ عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانِ
So I came to the Messenger of God, and began to tell him about Abu Sufyan.
أُخْبِرُهُ — to tell him. This is a present-tense verb with 'I' built in and a 'him' object-pronoun attached, so one word means 'I tell him', paired with the 'began' verb to mean 'started telling him'. The 'him' points to the Messenger. The present shape after 'began' shows the action getting going.
