How to say “two sons” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَقَالَ مَا تَقُولُ يَرْحَمُكَ اللَّهُ فِي رَجُلٍ لَهُ ابْنَانِ
He said, "What do you say, may God have mercy on you, about a man who has two sons?"
ابْنَانِ — two sons. A dual noun 'two sons', the thing possessed in the 'he has...' construction. The dual shape folds 'exactly two' into the noun's own ending, so no separate 'two' is needed.
