How to say “walk” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
اللهم إن كنتُ فعلت ذلك ابتغاء وجهك فافرج عنا ما نحن فيه، فانفرجت الصخرة فخرجوا يمشون
O Allah, if I did that seeking Your face, then relieve us from this situation we are in. The rock moved, and they exited, walking.
يَمْشُونَ — they walk. This is a present-tense plural verb, 'they walk', set against the past frame to describe the manner of their leaving, walking out freely. It runs alongside the main 'came out', painting how they departed.
