How to say “your brother” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَقَالَتْ لَهُ يَا أَبَا صَفْوَانَ وَقَدْ نَسِيتَ مَا قَالَ لَكَ أَخُوكَ الْيَثْرِبِيُّ
She said to him, "O Abu Safwan, have you indeed forgotten what your brother the Yathribi told you?"
أَخُوكَ — your brother. A noun 'brother' with attached -ka 'your' fusing owner and owned; standing as the subject (nominative) of the reporting verb, it identifies who spoke. The next word will describe him further.
