How to say “your life” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَهُوَ أَنَّكَ لَا تَخْلُو أَنْ تَكُونَ عَصَيْتَ اللَّهَ فِي عُمْرِكَ، أَوْ أَطَعْتَهُ،
And it is that you are not free from either having disobeyed God in your life, or having obeyed Him,
عُمْرِكَ — your life. A noun ('life/lifetime') with the suffix '-ka' ('your') fused on as possessor, in the genitive after 'in'. The attached pronoun addresses the reader, so the phrase is 'in your life', the span over which the deeds are measured.
